Orckes & Trolles  is a vocal and instrumental music group that specializes in Medieval, Renaissance, and Celtic songs.  Their music can best be described as "alternative madrigal," mixing madcap stage antics with vocal and instrumental music. Our own society member pipers will pipe on stage throughout the day.

Glenn Chatfield piped for 13 years with the Tunes of Glory Pipes and Drums of Warrenville, IL, until moving to Iowa. Since then Glenn has played solo and can often be found piping for Maolisa Irish Step Dancers.

Jim Jenkins & Marilyn Newton will pipe tunes for us and perhaps sing a song or two!  Marilyn has piped off and on since 1982 as a member of the University of Iowa Scottish Highlanders, bands in England and the St. Louis area. Presently she performs at events for veteran organizations.  Jim has also piped with the U of I Scottish Highlanders as well as other Iowa pipe bands.
